Gold dredging in arizona1/20/2024 ![]() ![]() The Talkeetna Commercial Club records include minutes, correspondence, and a membership list. The photographs, which date between the 1910s and the 1930s, include images of Thomas Weatherell and other miners, Talkeetna, hydraulic mining, mining camps, and freighting. Entries pertain to weather and trail conditions, daily chores, prospecting and mining operations, and the comings and goings of other local miners. Weatherell's diary is a daily log of his prospecting and mining on Gold Creek in the Talkeetna, Alaska, region between late February/early March and September or October of each year. Weatherell Papers consist of a diary (1913-1916), photographs, and records of the Talkeetna Commercial Club (1918-1919, 1934-1935).
